Terms of Service

Effective July 31, 2026

Shelfery (the "app") is a product of Devonshire Digital LLC ("Devonshire Digital", "we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the app — by creating an account or using it, you agree to them.

The service

Shelfery helps households track food inventory — what they have, where it's stored, and when it expires — including AI-assisted product identification from photos and barcodes.

Accounts and households

  • You need an account, created via our authentication provider, to use Shelfery.
  • The person who creates a household becomes its admin and can invite other members.
  • You're responsible for what happens under your account and for the accuracy of what you enter.
  • Household admins can remove members and revoke pending invites; members can leave a household at any time.

Acceptable use

Don't use Shelfery to upload content you don't have the right to share, attempt to disrupt the service, or try to access another household's data without authorization.

Your content

You retain ownership of the data and photos you submit. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content back to you and the members of your household as needed to run the app — including sending photos to third-party AI services for product identification (see our Privacy Policy).

AI-assisted identification

Product identification from photos or barcodes is AI-assisted and can be wrong. Always verify anything safety-critical yourself — expiration dates, allergens, and ingredients — rather than relying solely on what the app suggests.

Third-party services

Shelfery relies on third-party services (authentication, hosting, database, and AI providers) to operate. We aren't responsible for outages or issues caused by those providers, though we'll do what we reasonably can to keep the app working.

Termination

You can stop using Shelfery and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Shelfery is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including food spoilage, waste, or loss resulting from inaccurate or missed information in the app.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the effective date above.
